The Genki Spark multi-generational Asian women's performance troupe uses Japanese taiko drumming, spoken word, comedy, and personal stories to inspire creativity, build community, and advocate respect for all.

Our demonstrations, interactive workshops, and panel presentations on a variety of topics raise awareness, break down barriers, and create energetic environments where people grow.

Boston PRIDE Parade and Festival

The Genki Spark struts our stuff at PRIDE! 

Come cheer us on and celebrate the LGBTQ community at the parade -- (we'll be near the front of the parade) -- and/or see us perform on the Festival Stage at City Hall Plaza. As always, we'll have a booth -- so come on by, enjoy the day, and say hello :)

The Parade starts at 12Noon on Boylston Street.

Outside the Box Festival

Bringing the Arts Outside
July 13-20, 2013

Outside The Box 2013 is the first annual, citywide, multi-arts festival based in Boston, Massachusetts.  With a wealth of theatres, concert halls, conservatories, performing arts centers, and educational institutions for the arts in the region, Outside The Box will capture talent and enthusiasm and generate creative energy from every corner of the city.

Outside The Box 2013 is designed to change the way people engage and explore creativity, innovation and invention through the discovery and participation of the arts.  The Festival will showcase New England’s personality over the course of ten days from July 13 to 20, 2013 by shining a spotlight on Boston’s outdoor public spaces, and showcasing established institutions and independent voices.

The Genki Spark performs on Sunday July 14th, 12 noon
